Aiming at the problem of cable breakage an asymmetric single-tower cable-stayed bridge by taking a that has been in operation for more than 20 years as engineering example, spatial finite element model reflected actual stress state structure was established and method solving time point proposed. The results show strength main girder, pylon could meet requirements vibration caused successive breaks, maximum dynamic displacement girder did not exceed stiffness limit. Although stay adjacent position corresponding on opposite side tower to increase sharply, fluctuation other positions small. relatively small, but top changed greatly. response cables breaking succession less simultaneous breaking, structural severe breaking.
